Chess Simul at South Station with Grandmaster Larry Christiansen

Thursday, August 30, 2012

On Tuesday, September 11th, 2012, 5 - 7 pm

Grandmaster Larry Christiansen will play chess against 25 chessplayers simultaneously in the middle of South Station in downtown Boston. A three time United States Chess Champion, GM Christiansen is one of the most famous and respected chess players in the country. Playing a simultaneous exhibition against 25 players is no easy feat - it requires both mental and physical stamina. He must move quickly from board to board and make almost instant decisions about his next move. If the Grandmaster loses his focus even briefly, his opponent may walk away with an unexpected draw or even a win.

If you are interested in trying your chess skills against one of the best players in the country, come to South Station during the event and claim an open seat. Seating for new games will be allowed until 6:30 pm. If you have any questions, e-mail [email protected]
