Enjoy Southern Arizona’s art, craft, and music extravaganza sponsored by the Tubac Chamber of Commerce

Every February, locals and tourists alike flock to southern Arizona to experience the Tubac Festival of the Arts—an exciting array of fine art, handcrafts, and live music sponsored by the Tubac Chamber of Commerce.

The festival began in 1959, and is the longest-running art show in the state. Hundreds of artists, craftspeople, and musicians from all over the United States and Canada exhibit along the streets of Tubac Village in the five-day festival. Shoppers delight at the range of art, crafts, jewelry, leather work, ceramics, glass, wood, and more.

“As juried artisans we travel the United States three or four months each year,” say participating artists Bill and Lauri Keitel. “Our favorite festival is the Tubac Festival of the Arts. It is an event of uncommon merit.”

In addition to the outdoor vendor booths, most of Tubac’s dozens of galleries have special artist showings. Horse-drawn trolleys run continuously, providing a rustic alternative to traveling the event on foot. And should you work up an appetite from strolling and shopping, you will find the festival’s food court to be chock-full of tasty treats.

Tubac, one of the oldest settlements in the Southwest, is known as the place “Where Art and History Meet.” Angela Kirkner, Executive Director of the Tubac Chamber of Commerce, extends this invitation to all who appreciate art, fun, and ambiance: “The Tubac Festival of the Arts is an opportunity to experience unique works of art in an inspiring setting, surrounded by natural beauty.”

The Tubac Festival of the Arts is located in Tubac Village and runs from February 8-12, 2012, 10 am to 5 pm daily. Admission is FREE. For more information please visit our website.
