Company Description

A great Western vacation for all ages is what the Bar W Guest Ranch on Spencer Lake in Whitefish is all about. The Bar W is open year round and ready to treat you with true Western Montana hospitality - from the moment you arrive until long after you have left. Beautiful vistas and rolling ridges adorn the countryside of this cozy Montana dude ranch.

Located on Spencer Lake, where there are 3,000 acres available for horseback riding and all kinds of outdoor activities. Almost all of our guests - families, adults, singles and groups alike - have a tendency to think they are miles away from civilization here. But just 3.5 miles down the road from the guest ranch is one of the most vibrant towns in Montana: Whitefish, recently named one of the "Top Ten Cool Towns" by Frommer's Budget Travel. Expect to find some of the finest in shopping, dining, theater, and nightlife.

Board Meetings or Team Building

Whether it is a brainstorming project, a team building event, an employee bonus, a board/stockholder retreat, or to inspire, the Bar W is the perfect setting.

With all the different spaces to meet and all of the different activities, the Bar W provides for a meaningful environment to bring your team. Mix in team building exercises like skeet shooting with teams or barrel racing into your agenda to build spirit and break up the day.

We offer complete planning or, if you would rather create the agenda and itinerary yourself - we’re flexible and happy to provide you with some great ideas that have worked for others (timed team rodeos, watching a trainer work and relating it to relationships). We take pride in our ranch and would love for you to experience it. You can plan the week to include meetings in the gazebo, play meadow, the lodge, the indoor arena or anywhere on the ranch and build the day to include activities such as wagon/sleigh rides, live country or bluegrass music, campfire cookouts, horseshoes, volleyball, skeet shooting, archery, fishing, square dancing, horsemanship games, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, downhill and cross country skiing and more. So bring your Board or President’s Club to have some fun and solidify relationships.

If you are looking to truly create a memorable wedding experience, the Bar W has great facilities to make it a Montana-style event to remember. If you have special requests for your event, let us help put it together for you.

The Bar W has plenty of room for your guests and activities, both inside the beautiful lodge and on the manicured ranch grounds. The lodge is a perfect place for a stay after the wedding, you can hike, horseback ride, watch wildlife our your window, or just enjoy a warm cozy fire and relax.
