Alaska Sky Sports

For the thrill of a lifetime call: The Only Place to SKYDIVE in Alaska!

Company Description

What to Expect on the Day of Your Tandem

On the day of your scheduled tandem skydive, always call first to check on the weather. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and tennis shoes.(Remember it is always colder at 10,000 ft.) You will be fitted with a harness, goggles, head gear, and a jumpsuit that goes over your clothing.

Plan to spend at least 3 hours to complete your sky dive, due to a variety of unpredictable variables. We cannot guarantee that you will even be able to complete your sky dive on your scheduled day, but we will do everything possible to make it happen.

After registering, watching a training video, about 30 minutes of ground training, and successfully completing a hanging harness practice,
you will board a Cessna 206 or Twin Bonanza with your Tandem Master.
It takes about 20 minutes to climb to altitude (about 10,000 ft.).
You will experience about 30-45 seconds of free fall and about 5 to 7 minutes under canopy, enjoying the spectacular views below,
all on video to share with family and friends, for an extra fee.

Better yet, bring your family and friends to cheer you on, go on a tandem
with you, or go on a $25 observation flight! It's out of this world!!

Solo Jumping

You need to pass 10 levels (at least 9 jumps) of the Tandem Progression Program before soloing. That includes 4 tandems, with about 30 minutes of prior ground training, and 5 one Instructor Accelerated Freefall jumps, which take place after about 3 to 4 hours of ground training. These last 5 jumps consists of jumping with an instructor who holds on to you, makes sure you're stable, that you pull, etc., and you will land the parachute yourself, while being talked down with radio.

Prices go down with each subsequent jump and includes everything; gear, training etc., except video. If 30 days or more lapses between jumps, you will have to revert back 1 level for each 30 days without a jump.

You need at least 25 jumps to get certified with an A License. After you complete all 10 levels of the Tandem Progress Program (AFF or Static Line) successfully, you can solo or continue with coached jumps for the fast track. Get started today!!!
