Biking

Opportunities abound for mountain biking and bike touring trips at or near our five Whitewater Rafting Adventure Centers. In some cases (like the Lehigh River Gorge) an easy but spectacular trail follows the river itself, offering breath-taking views of the river gorge, its cascading tributaries, and whitewater boaters "playing" the rapids. Other trails lead into the isolated wilderness areas that surround our rivers, or follow quaint country roads linking the friendly villages that dot our surrounding countryside.

Kayaking schools

Kayaking schools give you the skills to run rivers in a sporty boat that requires special knowledge and safety. A kayaking clinic will get you off to a great start! Kayak lessons give you the basics of whitewater kayaking including wet exits, bow rescues, paddling strokes, ferrying, eddy turns and perhaps even the Eskimo roll. A mixture of classroom, flat water and whitewater instruction enable you to both understand and practice the exciting sport of whitewater kayaking.

A word of caution though. Regardless of your success in a kayaking clinic, we urge you to never paddle alone, and to always approach new stretches of whitewater accompanied by paddlers with superior skill and with experience on that waterway. And when in doubt - portage!
