Company Description
Events are an essential part of our society. Whether to celebrate a special occasion, raise money for an important cause, or gather for a holiday party, we have all experienced the joy of special events – or, as we like to call them, Very Important Events.
Very Important Events is a full service event planning company. Our passion for planning parties began over 6 years ago and we haven’t looked back since! We feel so lucky to be working in an industry full of beautiful and unique celebrations.
Whether your Very Important Event is located in Washington State or across the globe we would love to help make it a success. There are many benefits to hiring an event planner:
Weddings
Very Important Events specializes in both local and destination weddings. We have two main wedding Packages. Our Full Service Package is for the couple just starting out in the planning process and looking for assistance in choosing their vendors. Our Day Of Coordinator Package is for the couples who have secured most of their vendors. The planning with this package begins 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding date and includes schedule and flow creation, vendor communications, set up/tear down, and many other tasks. Each package can be customized to specifically meet your needs.
Corporate Parties
Very Important Events specializes in both local and destination corporate events. Whether you are putting together a Gala for 500 or an Executive Dinner for 25 we can help get the logistics sorted and create a unique ambiance your guests won’t soon forget! We create customized packages for each individual event.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Growing up Jewish, Very Important Events Owner Carna Lapping had her own Bat Mitzvah when she was 12. We understand the important traditions that go along with this special milestone and would enjoy the opportunity to work with you to make your Bar/Bat Mitzvah run smooth from start to finish while portraying your own personal touch. This is such a significant time in your child’s life – you should be able to enjoy the process and let us worry about the details!

From multi-day bike rides and mountain climbs to dinner parties and auctions, we have you covered!
Adventures
Do you have a flare for adventure? We do! We are always looking for the next exciting event to take part in. The past few years we have climbed Mt. Rainier, planned a 3-day bike ride in the San Juan Islands, and much more.
