From the drama of our award winning Natural Encounters building to the serenity of the Reflection Pool and its gorgeous live oaks, we have 9 unique venues that are sure to create an unforgettable experience for your guests. Animal experiences can be added to any event so your guests can get up close and personal with our most famous inhabitants.

Houston Zoo Corporate Events

Look like a star after having your company function at the Houston Zoo. Did you know that in West Africa, Karamu means "a place of joyful gathering"? And that's exactly what your company picnic for 100 or more will be with Picnic Packages that help you plan everything and include great food choices and fun additions for kids.

Planning a larger event for 2,000 or more? Then maybe an Evening Zoo Rental is more of what you need. Consider the Brown Education Hall - a smaller indoor space during the day which can be set up easily for meetings or dinner parties. Try our Reptile House for an evening you won't soon forget; a superb conversation starter with pythons, crocodile, poison dart frogs, emperor newts and more.

For an unforgettable pool-side evening, enjoy cocktails and dining at our Sea Lion Deck. For an indoor venue, escape to a lush tropical rainforest with cascading waterfalls and a beautiful built-in bar in our Natural Encounters building.

Houston Zoo Weddings

Have the wedding of your dreams come true at the Houston Zoo.

One of the most magnificent settings in the zoo, the Reflection Pool's elegant and romantic setting makes for an unforgettable wedding. Say your vows at the top of the steps while standing under 50 year old arching oak trees that make this backdrop the place to get married.

Consider the Natural Encounters building as the perfect setting for a reception with a lush rainforest and cascading waterfalls and built-in bar. Your guests will undoubtedly enjoy the antics of the many nocturnal animal species that dwell inside this building.

For smaller receptions the Aquarium located just steps inside the entrance to the zoo will immerse your guests in a tranquil underwater world.

Houston Zoo Birthday Parties

Available for Children Ages 12 and Under

Our birthday party package includes the rental of the pavilion for two hours, 30 Zoo admission tickets (valid for the day of the party only) and plastic table covers for all the tables. Your guests are free to explore the Zoo for the entire day, but the party pavilion is only reserved for a two hour timeslot:

Every day the Houston Zoo manages a herd of 4,500 exotic animal species—so just imagine what we can do for your 100 - 1500 employees. Our picnic packages are completely turn-key, guaranteeing a hassle-free experience for you. We do all the work, so you and your employees can relax and enjoy the day. Maximum capacity in this area is 1500. If your herd exceeds this space, let us customize an entire zoo rental or discuss additional space to make your outing a one-of-a-kind naturally wild experience.
